The Arcadia Reptile Deep Heat Projector 80W is complete with an internal reflector, meaning less heat is wasted and the device heats up faster. Recommended use with dimming thermostat to monitor temperature gradients. It is designed to penetrate muscle rather than give off as much heat at typical heat bulbs. Because of its wavelength IRA and some IRB penetrates subcutaneous tissue and the dermis in ways that normal light does not. Heat then moves through conduction to the rest of the material. It gets radiated out as IRC or loses its heat through convection.

Haven't used it yet, but everyone says this is the best DHP
I haven't used this yet since I haven't bought a dimming thermostat yet, but everyone I've asked recommends this DHP bulb. Shipping from this website was fast and the shipping prices were cheaper than other websites, so I definitely recommend this company!

Best heat source period
This heat source is better than using a halogen bulb or a ceramic heat emitter. I use it on a dimmable thermostat and it keeps my tempts stable all day long at 95 degrees.

The best I’ve found.
I’ve had a lot of recommendations for the DHP for my leopard geckos and I’m not disappointed with it at all. My guys love basking now and soaking up the heat which also allows them to be out and in the UVB as well. It’s definitely money well spent.

We upgraded our geckos from heat mats to the Arcadia DHP and I am so glad we did. They spend their days basking under it instead of hiding on top of their heat mat. They are truly much happier with this one change. Highly recommend!
