The light was designed to simulate sunlight and is great for growing plants and lighting up big cages. (Like a "shaft of sun coming through a skylight!)

The CRI (Color Rendering Index) is among the highest available in LED 92+

It is Only uses 40 watts but is as bright as a 300+ watt incandescent light bulb.

Another unique feature that allows it to have so much POWER in such a compact size is that it has an internal miniature cooling fan.

IMPORTANT NOTE: NO LED product can properly provide UVB for reptiles.... so all LED products must be used in conjunction with a UVB producing bulb, like an Arcadia HO t5 Bulb.

These have a standard screw in e27 light bulb base. They work in any standard dome fixture, socket, drop light or clamp on light.

But do not use these in a double dome fixture in conjunction with any other kind of bulb, (i.e. like a basking bulb) because they could get too hot and overheat.)

IT IS BEST TO USE LED bulbs, including this bulb, in their own open bottom ventilated fixture.

These work great in any medium to larger Dome light with an open bottom.

They should not be used in a totally closed fixture because they may overheat. Like ALL LED units, these need to be able to ventilate to stay cool...

air must be able to circulate around them.

Also-

PLEASE DO NOT set unit down flush on a glass top - that would block air from circulating through them and voids warranty.

⚠️Do not use this Jungle Dawn bulb or ANY LED BULB in any double dome / 2 socket single fixture that has another NON-LED bulb in it or very close beside it.

Do not use any brand of LED bulb IN the same dome light (ie. like a Double Dome Fixture)

IF it is being paired up with a heat / basking bulb.

Also,

NEVER use any LED screw in bulb in the same enclosed fixture pairing it up with a CHE (Ceramic Heat Emitter) or Heat Projector Bulb.

WHY?

Because an LED bulb in an enclosed fixture with a heat bulb (OR CHE OR Deep heat projector) sitting close to it the Jungle Dawn LED will cause the LED light to OVERHEAT.

And fail prematurely by overheating the sophisticated electronics inside the LED bulb.

LED's are designed to NOT get too hot.

So mixing them in an enclosed small space with a bulb that was specifically designed to throw off heat & warm your reptiles is not good.

I’ve used lightyourreptiles for every fixture I own. They are the best quality you can find! These Jungle Dawn spot lights are very bright and add a great look to my terrarium. Highly recommended.

Finally a mogel based plant bulb worth a damn

This bulb gets the job done. In less that 24hrs all of my plants sitting under this bulb have put on close to an inch in height. I have a four foot cage, heavily planted for my Panther Chameleon and the light beams all the way down to the bottom of the cage, like a ray of sunshine! Also whats great is the tech of LED, no major heating issues. Worth every penny for this bulb if you want your plants thrive this is it.

WICKED POWER IN THESE LIGHTS!!!

Just as my title states, these bulbs PACK A WICKED PUNCH! The brightness they show you on the review videos cannot even begin to compare to how bright these things are! It's like when you were young and your elders told you to not look directly at the sun, but you did it anyways and was blinded for 5 minutes. These are like a shaft of sunlight coming down into my chameleon cage and the further down the light goes, the more it spreads out. The plants love it! I noticed a bit of new growth within a week or so of using it on my cage. I also brought a couple of plants inside for the winter and I have one of these bad boys hanging over the two plants to keep them alive all winter. Works great! It has enough power to illuminate BOTH of those plants. The light doesn't get as hot as I thought it would when I touch it after it has been running all day. I knew it had a built-in fan and that is probably a lot of the reason it doesn't feel hot, but I figured for the power, they would still be very warm but it was totally okay and not bad at all! The fans run pretty quiet too so you won't even really know they are there. I absolutely love these lights and when I ever need another spot light grow bulb, I know where I'm coming back to get some!

This is the best light I have ever bought! It lights up the cage perfectly! It really looks like the sun is shinning in there! Also my plants are growing like crazy with this light. I highly recommend this light for anyone needing high light for plants and needing to light up their cage!

This grow light is a heavy duty quality bulb. I noticed new growth within 1 week of use. My chameleons cage brightened up considerably , worth the $ you get what you pay for.
