There are 3 wattage of 4 foot tubes in the USA:
40w, 36w & 32w.
**MOST FIXTURES MADE WITH CHEAPER BALLASTS CAN ONLY RUN 32 WATT BULBS.***
So please be advised.
For instance: “Shop Lights” for most new “shop lights” from Home Depot, Lowes etc. can only run 32-watt 4 foot tubes. And not these 36w tubes. However, most BETTER-QUALITY fluorescent light fixtures with electronic ballasts can run both 32w and 36w tubes.
So, BEFORE BUYING specifically these 4 foot bulbs, please remember to check your 4 foot fixture to make sure it is one that can run these 36 watt flo. tubes properly.
